Lab 9

The purpose of this lab is to introduce students to image maps. Upon completion of this lab you will be able to add 4 links in the shape of rectangles, a circle, and a triangle to a single image.
LAB 9    

Create a webpage containing the image below. Create a client side image map using this image. Define links to four popular web search engines, according to the following specifications:

  • the yellow rectangle links to www.dogpile.com
  • the orange circle links to www.altavista.com
  • the green triangle links to www.ask.com
  • the pink rectangle links to www.webcrawler.com

The image is 400 x 300 pixels. The visible gridlines are 100 pixels apart.

The dark background behind the circle and triangle are not part of the link.
